Whether you are looking for a relaxing way to spend time with friends on a Saturday afternoon or you are in the midst of planning your own garden transformation, we hope you will join us for what promises to be another fun and inspirational day in the tranquil and beautifully appointed gardens of Lamorinda.
This year the MJWC members chose Farm 2 Kids, a program by the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano
Counties, as the 2010 tour beneficiary. Farm 2 Kids is a program that provides fresh produce to elementary schools by partnering with afterschool programs. Through Farm 2 Kids, the Food Bank is able to distribute three to give pounds of fresh produce per week to families who otherwise would not be able to afford putting nutritious food on the table. This program currently serves 58 schools and over 6,500 children with weekly deliveries of fruits and vegetables and that number is growing weekly.
